CONVOCATORIA

Estimado amigo:

Reciba un fraterno saludo en nombre del Instituto Cubano de Amistad con los Pueblos.

Por segunda ocasión nuestro instituto recibirá la Brigada Mundial de Solidaridad con Cuba “Primero de Mayo” a la que asistirán delegaciones procedentes de todo el orbe integradas por amigos que desean compartir tan gloriosa fecha de los trabajadores junto al pueblo de Cuba.

Entre sus objetivos está acercar a los participantes a la realidad cubana y darles la oportunidad de contribuir al desarrollo agrícola y productivo del país mediante jornadas de trabajo voluntario.

El programa previsto para esta ocasión contempla, además de la participación en la actividad central por el Primero de Mayo y la asistencia al ya tradicional Encuentro Internacional de Solidaridad con Cuba, visitas a lugares de interés histórico, cultural, económico y social tanto en la capital como en provincias además de conferencias y encuentros con organizaciones de la sociedad civil cubana.

Las actividades de la Brigada se desarrollarán del 23 de abril al 6 de mayo en las provincias de la Habana, Ciudad de la Habana y Matanzas.

La estancia comprende 15 días y 14 noches, 11 de ellas en el Campamento Internacional” Julio A. Mella” (CIJAM) ubicado a 45 Km. de la Ciudad de la Habana y 3 noches en Varadero, provincia de Matanzas.

La estadía tendrá un costo de $295.00 CUC que incluye alojamiento en habitaciones compartidas por hasta 8 personas en el CIJAM, pensión completa de alimentación, transfer in-out en el aeropuerto y transportación a todas las actividades del Programa. Las visitas opcionales no se incluyen en el precio del paquete. La estancia en el CIJAM por noche adicional tiene un costo de 10.00CUC. Las actividades de trabajo voluntario productivo se realizarán en áreas cercanas al CIJAM.

La participación en este tipo de eventos denota la creciente solidaridad que despierta la Revolución cubana en su lucha contra el Bloqueo impuesto por el imperialismo norteamericano y su derecho a la autodeterminación, asimismo contribuye a romper el férreo cerco de desinformación con que nuestros enemigos pretenden desvirtuar la realidad cubana.

Con su asistencia el brigadista se compromete a cumplir con el Programa señalado y a observar adecuadas normas de conducta y convivencia social.

PROGRAM OF THE “MAY DAY” WORLD BRIGADE OF SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA, 2007,”

Dear Friend:

Please accept fraternal greetings on behalf of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.

Our Institute welcomes the second edition of the May Day World brigade of Solidarity with Cuba which will gather delegations coming from all over the world made up by friends who would like to share such a glorious date for workers with the Cuban people.

Among its objectives, the Brigade is aimed at providing a wider understanding of the Cuban reality as well as giving its participants the opportunity of contributing to the agricultural and productive development of the country through voluntary work sessions.

The program prepared for this occasion includes, apart from the participation in the May Day Central Rally and the attendance to the traditional International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, visits to places of historical, cultural, economical, and social interest in the capital and in other provinces, as well as lectures and meetings with organizations of the Cuban civil society.

The activities of the Brigade will take place from April 23 to May 6th in the provinces of Habana, Habana City, and Matanzas.

The whole stay comprises 15 days and 14 nights, eleven of which will be in “Julio Antonio Mella” International Camp (CIJAM), which is located in Caimito Municipality, 45 Kms. from Havana City; plus three more nights in Varadero, Matanzas Province.

The full cost of stay is 295.00 CUC (Cuban Convertible Pesos), covering for accommodation in rooms shared by up to 8 people in CIJAM; three meals a day; in-out airport transfers; and transportation to all the activities included in the Program. Optional visits are not included in the package’s price. The cost for an additional night stay in CIJAM is 10.00 CUC. The voluntary work sessions will take place in CIJAM nearby areas.

The participation in this kind of event denotes the increasing solidarity that the Cuban Revolution arouses in its struggle against the blockade imposed by the American government and its right to self-determination. It also contributes to rupture the fierce disinformation enclosure used by our enemies to deflect the Cuban reality.

By attending the Brigade, a member is committed to comply with the Program and to keep a proper behavior, discipline and living together standards.
